two sardines with garnish on rye crracker

Sardine Spread

  • 1 can (about 4 oz) sardines with skin and bones, drained well
  • Mix with 1 T fresh lemon juice
  • 1 T grated onion
  • 1/4 t sea salt (I leave the salt out)
  • 1 T tahini
  • 1 1/2 T chopped parsley.

Mash with a fork until well blended. Spread on whole rye crackers and grind some pepper on top.
