Testimonials
"I started going to school to be a dietitian, but I was discouraged because I would have to move to another town and it would take forever to finish because I had to work at the same time. After telling a career counselor at the community college what my interests were and what I was looking for in a profession, she gave me three choices and one of them was the NTA program. It was about a week before the classes started and I signed up in her office without doing any research. I made the right choice and I'm really glad I didn't waste my time and money becoming a dietitian."

"The NTT program has given me power over my own health and that’s been profound for me. Even though I’ve always considered myself a health-conscious person, it’s made me more in tune with my own body. I’ve seen positive, dramatic changes in a family member with serious health issues, who followed this paradigm throughout the year and has already improved her health greatly. The information and functional tools they teach are unique to this program. I don’t know of anywhere else you can receive such training. The instruction was phenomenally informative while being interesting and enjoyable as well, arming graduating NTP’s with knowledge, practical application and resources for personal and professional applications. I highly recommend it. The experience has been invaluable to me. ~Kristi Cooke, NTP
"I found out about NTA from a Google search back in 2006. I live in New York City and was considering attending the NYC based Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN). I had attended IIN's orientation TWICE and each time I left feeling that it was a good program, but not "meaty" enough for me. Once I received an info packet from the NTA, I KNEW right away that it was what I had been looking for. I called and signed up the same day! Colleen was my instructor in Minneapolis, MN and after the first day of class, I knew I wanted to teach this course someday and spread its' powerful message. ...And the rest is history! Now, more than ever, as an NTA instructor here on the east coast, I believe in this program and I am grateful to be a part of this amazing, ever-growing NTA family." ~ Caroline Barringer, NTP,CEO and Co-Director of Immunitrition, is a Certified Healing Foods Specialist (CHFS), Certified Body Ecologist (CBE), Energy Therapist (EFT), Weston A Price Chapter Leader,International Guest Lecturer and Lead Instructor for NTA.
"None of the other nutrition programs I had investigated agreed with the things I had learned for restoring my health. The NTT program not only supported what I knew and taught me why it worked but actually gave me more tools to help me take my health to an even higher level. I feel better now than I did in my 20’s, with more energy and vitality than I ever imagined possible. For the first time, I have a passion and the energy to live it! The community I have with my NTP friends is so incredible and precious to me. To say that all this has changed my life is an understatement. It has helped me to become the person I was supposed to be and more, physically and mentally. Thank you NTA and much love to all my NTP community! Join us, it will change your life too!" ~ Bev Hartsfield, NTP
"I would like to thank NTA for creating such an amazing course. I have been trained as an herbalist, studying for over 20 years. While I love working with herbs, I felt like there was still something missing. I had learned so much about which ones worked for certain health conditions, but not why the condition happened in the first place. It was like approaching problems with a Band-Aid instead of a solution. The NTT course taught me so much and has made such a difference in how I practice. I would encourage every herbalist to take the course! Well, actually, I would encourage everyone to take the course, even if you never consider opening a practice. The benefits for you and your family will be worth every penny." ~Tracy Bosnian, NTP, CH
"The NTT Course is a wise financial and time investment for both the professional and the health-conscious consumer. The knowledge gained, the many invaluable materials provided, and hands-on training will equip one to improve personal health and/or launch a successful Nutritional Therapy career. The NTT approach to health is logical. Just as a house with a solid foundation will stand, a healthy body needs a solid nutritional foundation.
Taught from a holistic nutritional point of view, the NTT course teaches not only how to build a solid nutritional foundation, but also the concept of bio-individuality, that each person's nutritional needs are unique. The NTT evaluation tools determine an individual's systemic weaknesses and specific, unique nutritional needs. I especially enjoyed learning the real truth about fats, carbohydrates, and our critical need for water; and can now intelligently counter health myths and fads. After struggling many years with a host of health problems, I now have the knowledge and tools that make good health a reachable goal." ~Lynette Sali, NTP
I have taken the distance learning course twice, once as a student and once as an assistant to the teacher. On both occasions I found the teachers to very passionate, very accessible and knowledgeable. I also found the material to be based on the most recent and up-to-date information in the field of nutrition. Unlike most college textbooks, the required reading was inspiring and thought provoking. The required DVD series that is part of the distance learning materials was equally interesting and informative.
The classroom environment fostered growth and participation. I not only got to know my fellow classmates well, but I was able to forge both personal and professional friendships with many of them. While the course material was extensive and required a serious commitment of my time and energy, I did not find it unrealistic. I was able to manage the course load in the context of working another job. More importantly, I found the material inspiring and actually found myself enjoying the assignments and work load, something I could rarely say of my collegiate experiences which always required I rush though one assignment to get to the next.
The NTA program does not jump around from one nutritional philosophy to another. It’s rooted in a strong belief in traditional and sustainable forms of agriculture and the health benefits they nourish. It’s as much an education in a new career as it is on the modern/industrialized diet and its damaging effect on ourselves and our planet. Most importantly, by the end of the program I felt and feel strongly that YOU will feel empowered to not only help re-educate our country about nutrition but have a strong foundation in how to do that via individual counseling. You will have the tools to consult with clients, to assess them, to evaluate them and you will have the tools to do that effectively.
I found the cost of the program very affordable. It was reassuring to know I would not have to go into debt for the next ten to twenty years of my life. I hope this helps and would be happy to speak with anyone who may have further questions about the program. To contact me go to www.pvnutritionaltherapy.com. The NTA training revolutionized how I think about food and supplementation. I graduated in 2007 and since the first day of class, my health has improved. When I started, I only slept through a whole night about once a week, was on a very high amount of thyroid meds, would often have hypoglycemic episodes and generally felt like I was run over by a truck. Now, I sleep well routinely, am off thyroid meds completely (supervised by my doctor of course) and actually wake up feeling like I can tackle the day without half a pot of coffee. Taking this training was the best decision I ever made. And now, I get to help others, which is especially rewarding. ~ Cherie Anello, NTP
Professional Recommendations
“I wanted to commend you on your Nutritional Therapist Training Program. In a busy practice, physicians and nurses don’t have the time for patient education on lifestyle issues so I decided to add those aspects into my practice by utilizing a staff member. The Nutritional Therapist Training (NTT) Program is an excellent choice for nutritional training because it includes pertinent background information in basic physiology and anatomy coupled with the teachings of respected nutritional pioneers, laying a foundation of universal truths about health and nutrition. Not only do the clients benefit from overall improved health but they also appreciate the ‘one-on-one’ clear explanation and guidelines for therapeutic lifestyle changes that ultimately reduce the cost of health care and expensive pharmaceutical intervention.” ~George Wm Koss , D.O.
“With regard to the content of the NTT program, the information is drawn and compiled from many lines of thought i.e., nutrition, osteopathy, chiropractic, allopathic medicine, ayurveda, and more. The Nutritional Therapy Association, Inc.® NTT curriculum is backed up by nutritional research extracted from a large variety of well-known and well-regarded journals. NTA offers a unique paradigm for nutrition…it is my strong opinion that the paradigm they are offering is vital and needs to be shared with the public."

“I have found the entire program to be of excellent quality, including the instructors. I would not have spent so much valuable time studying the NTT course if I had not been so impressed with the course content, instruction, and anticipated efficacy for helping people/clients improve their health.”
